Geely Galaxy A7 EM Receives Massive OTA Update: Flyme Auto 2.0 and Next-Gen Smart Features

Geely has announced the first major OTA (Over-the-Air) update for the Galaxy A7 EM, scheduled to begin rollout on May 16, 2026. This comprehensive upgrade introduces the highly anticipated Flyme Auto 2.0 system and delivers over 11 significant enhancements across five core dimensions: Connectivity, Driver Assistance, Interaction, Security, and Entertainment.

1. Flyme Auto 2.0: A New Visual Experience

The centerpiece of this update is the Flyme Auto 2.0 system, which focuses on “Borderless Minimalism” and rounded aesthetics.

AIive Dynamic Wallpapers: The desktop now syncs with vehicle states, such as unlocking, charging, or window positions. For example, a “Growth Flower” animation plays upon unlocking, adding a warm, interactive touch.
Enhanced Interactivity: The system now supports natural gestures and a “Small Window Mode” for better multitasking. The overall UI logic is designed to be intuitive, ensuring a smooth, smartphone-like experience.

2. Seamless Connectivity & Advanced Navigation

Geely is making the Galaxy A7 EM more compatible with global smartphone ecosystems.

Native Apple CarPlay: Wireless CarPlay is officially launched, allowing iPhone users to sync playlists, podcasts, and apps seamlessly.
Multi-Protocol Support: Performance optimizations have been completed for Flyme Link, Huawei HiCar, and CarLink, ensuring “one-click connection” for almost all smartphone brands.
Next-Gen Navigation: Powered by Amap version 850, the navigation now includes enhanced traffic light data. It can display the status of the second upcoming traffic light, provide countdowns for U-turns and right turns, and offer improved safety warnings for accidents or road closures.

3. H3 Driver Assistance: Evolution in Parking and Safety

The “Qianli Haohan” H3 Driver Assistance scheme receives significant logic upgrades.

Memory Parking (HPA): The vehicle can now learn and memorize specific parking routes. Once a route is saved, drivers can use voice commands to trigger autonomous parking at home or the office.
Upgraded APA: Automatic Parking (APA) now recognizes a wider range of non-standard parking spaces with improved speed and accuracy.
Smarter High-Speed Navigation: The system now mimics experienced drivers by proactively avoiding road construction and lane-hogging vehicles. It includes automatic deceleration for construction zones and optimized lane-changing strategies in heavy traffic.
Safety Barrier: AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) and AES (Active Emergency Steering) have been optimized to recognize high-risk scenarios earlier and more accurately.

Plug-and-Charge: For home charging, the system now supports automatic charging initiation upon plugging in the gun, removing the need for manual app activation.

Upgraded Sentry Mode: Now supports single-use toggles and can be quickly activated via the status bar, mobile app, or voice commands.
