Xiaomi YU7 GT
Xiaomi EV is turning up the heat in the high-performance electric SUV segment. The tech giant has officially released the first official images of its ultimate flagship SUVโthe Xiaomi YU7 GTโshowcasing a stunning Crimson Red exterior paint and a race-inspired Track Red interior.
Xiaomi defines the YU7 GT as a “sports-car-level SUV built for long-distance grand touring.” Co-tuned by a joint team of Chinese and European chassis experts, the vehicle was heavily tested on the legendary Nรผrburgring Nordschleife, promising a rock-solid, ultra-stable cornering experience without sacrificing GT cruising comfort. The YU7 GT is scheduled for an official launch at the end of May 2026.
Aggressive Aero: The Crimson Red Exterior
According to Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun, the Crimson Red paint job is designed to “combine power with elegance, awakening the desire to drive.” To separate the GT variant from the standard YU7, Xiaomi has re-engineered the SUV with an aggressive, track-focused aerodynamic body kit:
- Front Fascia: Features a redesigned front bumper with a massive splitter/lip and larger air intakes for optimized cooling and downforce. The iconic Xiaomi hood logo is finished in a stealthy Black/Gold colorway.
- Side Profile & Stance: The YU7 GT gets widebody fender flares to accommodate wider, staggered tires. It rides on Michelin PS5 tires (265mm front / 295mm rear).
- Braking Power: Peeking through the wheels are large carbon-ceramic brake discs paired with aggressive 6-piston fixed calipers in red.
- Rear Diffuser: The rear bumper features an exaggerated race-style diffuser. Image enhancement suggests it may even feature an active, variable-angle diffuser, similar to the hardcore Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.
Exterior Dimensions:
- Length / Width / Height: 5,015 mm / 2,007 mm / 1,597 mm
- Wheelbase: 3,000 mm
Race-Cockpit: Track Red Alcantara Interior
Step inside, and the YU7 GT wraps you in a high-octane Track Red and Black dual-tone environment. The cabin layout keeps the standard YU7โs dual-screen configuration (the signature Xiaomi Skyline instrument cluster and a massive floating infotainment screen) but upgrades almost every touchpoint with premium Alcantara leather.
Exclusive GT Details:
- Steering Wheel: A three-spoke sports steering wheel with two extended control buttons on the left and right sides for quick driving mode adjustments.
- GT Branding: Red checkered-flag “GT” embroidery sits on the passenger dashboard panel, complemented by matching GT logos on the integrated sports seats and door panels, tied together with bright red seatbelts.
- Upgraded Seats: The front bucket seats feature significantly larger shoulder and waist bolsters to provide maximum lateral support during high-speed cornering. Comfort features like ventilation, heating, and massage are expected to remain.
Tech Easter Eggs & Custom UI
Xiaomi has injected some clever tech details into the software. The YU7 GT features a bespoke track UI for the Skyline screen, displaying critical performance metrics: driving mode, power output/regeneration percentages, current gear, real-time energy consumption, rear motor RPM, and a compass. Interestingly, the official center console renders also showed the media player playing a track aptly named โNรผrburgring,โ paying homage to its development roots.
1,003 Horsepower Powertrain Specifications
Don’t let the luxury cabin fool youโthe YU7 GT is a hyper-SUV at heart. Underneath the body lies a beastly dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) setup:
- Front Electric Motor: 288 kW
- Rear Electric Motor: 450 kW
- Total Combined Output: A mind-blowing 738 kW (1,003 Horsepower)
- Top Speed: 300 km/h (186 mph)
- Battery Capacity: 101.7 kWh battery pack
- Pure Electric Range: 650 km to 705 km (CLTC), depending on the aerodynamic options selected.
According to previous regulatory filings, buyers will be able to customize their YU7 GT with optional parts including different rear spoilers, ducktails, mirrors, brake caliper colors, and custom racing decals.
