Mercedes-Benz has officially pulled the curtain back on the All-New GLC L EV, a long-wheelbase electric SUV specifically tailored for the Chinese market. Combining a century of design heritage with cutting-edge 800V architecture, this model marks a significant leap in the brand’s “Electric First” strategy.

1. Design: Heritage Meets High-Tech

The GLC L EV introduces a retro-shield grille inspired by the 1900 classic design, but with a futuristic twist.

Interactive Lighting: The grille features 942 backlit units and an illuminated Star emblem that displays “breathing” effects during charging and unlocking.
Digital LED Headlights: Beneath the iconic Three-Pointed Star sits a new LED digital light system with adaptive high-beam functionality.
Practical Storage: Breaking from traditional SUV constraints, it features a 128L frunk (front trunk), perfect for carry-on luggage.

2. Exclusive “L” Dimensions: More Space for China

Recognizing the demand for rear-cabin comfort, Mercedes has significantly elongated the chassis:

Wheelbase: At 3027mm, it is 55mm longer than the international version (and 104mm longer in total body length).

Ultra-Fast Charging: Thanks to the 800V high-voltage architecture, the vehicle supports up to 320kW charging, powering from 10% to 80% in just 22 minutes.
