Leapmotor B10 High Power
May 13, 2026 – New filings from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) have revealed a new High-Power variant of the Leapmotor B10. While the exterior maintains the minimalist design of the current lineup, the internal upgrades promise a significantly more spirited driving experience for this compact SUV.
Performance: Closing the Power Gap
The upcoming B10 High-Power version remains a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive vehicle but offers a substantial leap in output compared to existing models.
| Specification | Current B10 (Standard) | Current B10 (Pro) | New High-Power Variant |
| Max Power | 132 kW | 160 kW | 180 kW / 185 kW |
| Top Speed | 160 km/h | 170 km/h | 180 km/h |
| Battery Type | LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) | LFP | LFP |
| 0-100 km/h | 9.3 seconds | 6.8 seconds | Expected < 6.0s |
Currently, the B10 offers CLTC ranges of 510km and 600km. While the exact range for the 185kW version hasn’t been finalized, it is expected to prioritize performance without sacrificing the efficiency Leapmotor is known for.
Intelligence: The “LEAP 3.5” Architecture
The Leapmotor B10’s true competitive edge lies in its LEAP 3.5 Electronic & Electrical Architecture. Even at its accessible price point (99,800 – 129,800 RMB), it offers flagship-level intelligence:
- AI-Powered Cockpit: Featuring a 14.6-inch 2.5K HD screen, the high-end models are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip.
- LLM Integration: It is one of the few vehicles in its class to support dual Large Language Models (LLMs)—DeepSeek and Tongyi Qianwen—for advanced voice interaction and passenger assistance.
- High-Tier ADAS: Equipped with a 128-line LiDAR, the B10 supports:
- NAP (Navigation Assist Pilot for highways)
- CNAP (Commuting Navigation Assist Pilot)
- HPA (Home Parking Assist/Memory Parking)
Dimensions & Positioning
As a compact SUV built for the global market (part of the Leapmotor-Stellantis joint venture strategy), the B10 combines urban agility with a tech-heavy interior. Its focus on “Premium Intelligence for the Masses” makes the addition of a high-power motor a logical step for users demanding better highway performance and overtaking power.
Consultant’s Perspective: Why it Matters
The Leapmotor B10 is becoming a “giant killer” in the compact SUV segment. By adding a 185kW motor, Leapmotor is directly targeting buyers who might have previously looked at more expensive performance SUVs from Xpeng or BYD. For international markets, this high-power version likely represents the flagship trim that will lead Leapmotor’s expansion into Europe and Southeast Asia.
