M-HERO SUV Roadmap 2026
M-HERO, Dongfeng’s high-end electric off-road brand, has officially announced an ambitious expansion plan. During a recent brand event on April 20th, the company confirmed it will launch four all-new SUV models within the next two years.
One of these highly anticipated models is set to make its global debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show on April 24th.
1. Expanding the “Heroic” Lineup
Currently, M-HERO’s portfolio consists of three formidable models: the M817, M917, and the M800. The upcoming four models will all be SUVs, continuing the brand’s commitment to the luxury off-road segment.
- Design DNA: Based on official teasers, the new vehicles will adopt the “Heroic Aesthetics 2.0” design language. Expect sharp, military-inspired lines and the signature “Sword pointing to the Sky” cross-shaped LED taillights seen on the M817.
2. Powered by Huawei: Next-Gen Intelligent Driving
In a move to dominate the “Intelligent Off-road” era, M-HERO is deepening its partnership with tech giant Huawei.
- Huawei Qiankun ADS: The new SUVs will be equipped with Huawei’s latest 896-line image-grade Lidar. This dual-optical path system provides unprecedented environmental perception, essential for navigating complex off-road terrains.
- Panshi Chassis 2.0: M-HERO is also introducing its Panshi Chassis 2.0 (Rock Chassis) system, designed to provide extreme structural rigidity and superior damping for both urban comfort and rugged trails.
3. Building a Global Off-Road Ecosystem
M-HERO isn’t just selling vehicles; it’s building a lifestyle.
- Flagship Experience: The brand recently celebrated the opening of the 001 Wuhan Flagship Store, a joint venture with Huawei Qiankun.
- Smart Off-Road Bases: M-HERO has signed agreements with over ten cultural and tourism groups to establish its first 10 Smart Off-Road Bases.
- Future Expansion: By 2027, the brand plans to expand this network to 100 bases, covering core tourist destinations and popular off-road regions across China.
Editor’s Verdict

The upcoming Beijing Auto Show will be a pivotal moment for the brand to showcase whether its new models can balance extreme capability with everyday luxury.
