Huawei Qiankun
The intelligent driving landscape is set for a major shake-up this month. Huawei Qiankun, Huawei’s specialized smart driving brand, has officially announced its upcoming Technology Launch Event on April 23, 2024. This event serves as a high-tech curtain-raiser just days before the Beijing Auto Show. Adding to the excitement, Dongfeng’s luxury off-road brand, M-Hero (Mengshi), will also hold its Spring Product Launch on April 20.
The “Four Mysterious Models” Teaser Huawei Qiankun recently released a captivating teaser video featuring four distinct vehicle types: a sports car, two SUVs, and an MPV. While technical specifications remain under wraps, the visual cues offer plenty of hints:
The Concept Sports Car: The video kicks off with a low-slung, aerodynamic sports car. Automotive insiders note that the cockpit design heavily mirrors the aesthetics of Avatr—one of Huawei’s most strategic partners. With aggressive aero kits and a futuristic silhouette, this model aims to redefine the performance limits of smart electric vehicles.
The Full-Size Family SUV: The second vehicle is a massive SUV featuring signature “through-type” LED lighting at both the front and rear. While the branding remains unconfirmed, its scale suggests a flagship positioning, likely focusing on luxury family travel.
M-Hero M817: The third model is identified as the M-Hero M817. As a heavy-duty luxury off-roader, this vehicle will be the centerpiece of the M-Hero Spring Launch on April 20, showcasing how Huawei’s intelligent systems integrate with rugged, all-terrain performance.
The Flagship MPV: Rounding out the quartet is a large MPV. It sports a recognizable “family” face, signaling that Huawei’s smart driving solutions are expanding deeper into the high-end multi-purpose vehicle segment, catering to both business and large family needs.
Why April 23 Matters for the EV Market The Huawei Qiankun Technology Event is more than just a product showcase; it represents the next evolution of Huawei’s ADS (Advanced Driving System). By partnering with brands like Avatr and M-Hero, Huawei is positioning itself as the “Intel Inside” of the New Energy Vehicle era.
Investors and EV enthusiasts should keep a close eye on the April 23 reveal, as it will likely set the technological benchmarks for the rest of the year.
