XPENG GX Preview: The New Tech-Flagship 6-Seater SUV to Debut on April 15

XPENG Motors will unveil its latest technology flagship SUV, the XPENG GX, on April 15. Featuring both EV and EREV versions, 800V fast charging, and advanced AI features, the GX aims to redefine the premium 6-seater SUV segment.

The Arrival of a Tech-Flagship

XPENG Motors has officially announced that the technical launch event for its highly anticipated model, the XPENG GX, will be held on April 15. Positioning it as a “Technology Flagship,” XPENG aims to showcase its latest breakthroughs in four core areas: Safety, Chassis, Intelligent Driving, and Interior Space.

Bold Design and Spacious Dimensions

Departing from the softer curves of previous models, the XPENG GX adopts a more rugged and robust aesthetic. The SUV features a floating roof design and a commanding presence with dimensions of 5,265mm in length, 1,999mm in width, and 1,800mm in height, supported by a massive 3,115mm wheelbase.

To enhance its premium look, the GX offers multiple wheel options, including 21-inch low-drag rims and 22-inch sport wheels. Signature design elements include continuous LED light bars (integrating smart driving indicators) and a unique “Space Ceramic 24K Gold” emblem.

Innovative AI Features

One of the most talked-about features of the XPENG GX is the AI-powered adaptive dimming privacy glass. This industry-leading technology covers the second and third rows, adjusting transparency in just 0.16 seconds—perfect for maintaining visibility and comfort when entering or exiting tunnels.

Dual-Power Strategy: BEV and EREV

The XPENG GX is built on an advanced 800V platform and utilizes the Kunpeng Power System. For the first time, XPENG is offering a dual-power strategy to tackle range anxiety:

• EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle): Equipped with a 1.5T range extender and dual motors (160kW front / 210kW rear), it delivers a pure electric range of 320km, catering to long-distance travelers.
• BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle): The pure electric version features XPENG’s self-developed 800V SiC (Silicon Carbide) coaxial electric drive. With a combined output of 430kW and 695Nm of torque, it offers multiple range variants: 635km, 665km, 720km, and 750km.
