XPENG Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng recently confirmed that the brand’s new “Tech Flagship SUV,” the XPENG GX, will officially hit the market on May 20, 2026. Built on the advanced SEPA 3.0 Physical AI Architecture, the GX aims to redefine luxury and intelligence in the large SUV segment with a pre-sale price starting at 399,800 RMB.
Versatile Power: BEV and EREV Options
The XPENG GX offers buyers the flexibility of two powertrain configurations, catering to both long-distance travelers and urban commuters.
1. Extended Range Version (EREV)
- Engine: 1.5T range extender (110 kW).
- Dual-Motor Drive: Front 160 kW / Rear 210 kW.
- Electric Range: 320 km, ideal for daily fuel-free driving.
2. Battery Electric Version (BEV)
- Dual-Motor Drive: Front 160 kW / Rear 270 kW.
- Range Options (CLTC): 635km, 665km, 720km, and a flagship 750km range.
- Top Speed: 200 km/h for both versions.

The XPENG GX commands attention with its massive presence, measuring 5265mm in length and boasting a 3115mm wheelbase.
- Exterior: Features a clean, closed front grille with signature “Star Ring” integrated lighting. The BEV model includes a functional frunk (front trunk) for extra storage.
- Silhouette: A straight roofline ensures maximum interior headroom, while hidden door handles and a floating roof design maintain its sleek, sophisticated profile.

The cabin is designed as a “mobile lounge,” blending high-tech features with extreme comfort.
- Smart Cockpit: Dominated by a 17.3-inch 3K floating display and a dual-spoke steer-by-wire steering wheel that can electrically retract (135mm).
- Immersive Audio: Equipped with 33 AI-powered speakers delivering a 7.1.6.8 Dolby Atmos experience, including specialized headrest speakers.
- Seating Comfort: The front passenger enjoys a “Queen’s Zero-Gravity Seat” with 16-point massage. The second row is even more luxurious, featuring flip-down entertainment screens, magnetic docking stations, and zero-gravity seating with ventilation, heating, and leg rests.

XPENG claims the GX has a “generational advantage” in smart driving.
- Computing Power: Driven by four self-developed Turing chips, the vehicle achieves a staggering total computing power of 3000 TOPS.
