Fang Cheng Bao Tai 7 EV
The high-performance electric SUV market is about to get a major update. Fang Cheng Bao, the professional personalized brand under BYD, has officially announced that the Tai 7 EV Supercharge Edition will launch on April 29.
With a pre-sale price range of $30,500 โ $34,600 (RMB 220,000 โ 250,000), this model is a direct assault on the premium mid-to-large SUV segment, featuring BYDโs most advanced battery and charging technologies to date.
1. The Core Innovation: 2nd Gen Blade Battery
The “Supercharge” in the name isn’t just marketing. The Tai 7 EV is one of the first models to feature the Second-Generation Blade Battery.
- High Density: All trims are equipped with a 105.8kWh LFP battery pack.
- Range Performance: The RWD version achieves a massive 755km CLTC range, while the high-performance 4WD version offers 675km.
- Flash Charging: Enhanced thermal management allows for ultra-fast energy replenishment, significantly reducing wait times at high-power charging stations.
2. “Titanium Power” Design: Rugged Meets Tech
The Tai 7 maintains the brandโs “hardcore” DNA while adding EV-specific practicalities.
- Aggressive Styling: Features the “Titanium Power” front fascia with dual-layer headlamps and an H-shaped silver skid plate.
- Added Utility: As a pure electric model, it introduces a front trunk (frunk), a first for the series, adding significant storage for charging cables and travel gear.
- Dimensions: A commanding presence at 4,999mm long with a 2,920mm wheelbase, balancing city lane-splitting with a 24-degree approach angle for off-road capability.
3. “Star Ark” Interior: A 7-Screen Cinematic Cabin
Inside, the Tai 7 EV looks more like a spacecraft than a traditional SUV. The “Star Ark” design language supports a 7-screen linkage system:
- Front Row: A 15.6-inch main screen, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and a massive 26-inch W-HUD.
- Control & Rear: Specialized screens for AC knobs, rear climate, and two optional 13-inch BYD Pads for rear-seat entertainment.
- Luxury Amenities: Includes “Soufflรฉ” 4-layer architecture seats, a 4.5L hot/cold refrigerator, and a premium 20-speaker Devialet audio system.
4. Performance & Chassis: Power Meets Control
BYD has packed the Tai 7 EV with its top-tier performance hardware:
- Dual Motor Power: The 4WD version delivers a total output of 515kW, reaching a top speed of 240km/h.
- DiSus-C System: Equipped with the DiSus-C Intelligent Damping Body Control System, the vehicle can adjust its suspension in real-time to provide a “magic carpet” ride over bumps or stiffen up for high-speed cornering.
- Safety & Intelligence: Features the “Eye of the Gods” B-Pilot Laser Version, integrating LiDAR for high-level autonomous driving assistance.
