NIO ES9: Flagship Luxury SUV with 900V Architecture to Launch on May 27

NIO is set to redefine the full-size luxury electric SUV segment. Official sources confirmed that the NIO ES9 will begin user test drives on May 11, followed by its official market launch and delivery on May 27, 2026.

Positioned as a direct competitor in the high-end EV market, the NIO ES9 is priced between 528,000 – 658,000 RMB for the full purchase plan, while the BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) pre-sale price starts as low as 420,000 RMB.

10,000km Endurance Challenge: Proving the Power of Battery Swapping

Coinciding with its launch, the NIO ES9 has kicked off the “Ten Thousand Kilometers Across the Passes” challenge. This 10,000km endurance run started at the Luocheng Service Area (G4216 Expressway) and will cross over 10 provinces, finishing at the upcoming Dunhuang Battery Swap Station.

This challenge aims to showcase NIO’s infrastructure efficiency, aiming to beat the previous 98-hour record set by the ONVO L60 for a 10,000km continuous drive.

The NIO ES9 measures 5,365mm in length with a massive 3,250mm wheelbase, standing on 23-inch forged wheels.
